Stone Coat Countertop Epoxy is Food safe, UV resistant, heat resistant and is designed to create the look of expensive granite or marble right over your existing countertops while staying budget friendly.
Your project is fully customizable, so you can create whatever look best suits your space, mixing and matching colours by adding metallic powders, epoxy dyes or spraying directly on to the surface with the Rust-Oleum and Montana aerosols. Or simply replicate a classic look you love like Carrara Marble, Black Marble or White & Brass Marble. Find our ready to use Marble kits on our Stone Coat Resin page!
Coverage Guide:
Do not pour this material over 3.175mm per coat.
If you are doing a Wood Slab you will need to seal with a thin layer of Stone Coat Countertop Epoxy before the flood coating. We use 1oz (29ml) per Square Foot (0.092m2) to seal wood slabs. We like to apply 2-3 seal coats on raw wood slabs before we apply our Flood Coat.
If you intend to pour over an existing laminate countertop or surface, you will need to apply the XIM Advanced Technology UMA bonder. For more information on this step please visit the XIM Bonding Primer web page. MDF needs no seal coats.
We like to sand and polish our slabs and countertops to bring them to the most high end look and feel possible. This is optional and many customers are happy with their results without the extra work. The Ultimate Top Coat is an optional step to our epoxy countertop system. Our Top Coat has a natural look and feel leaving you with a very scratch resistant countertop ready for years of use.
We recommend using the Ultimate Top Coat on all professional and DIY countertop jobs.
